Welcome to our Birch Glen community blog

With our revamped web site now available, we needed a way to provide feedback and communication within the Residents' Association:
  • as a link between the Association Executive/Board Directors and member residents;
  • as a secure link between (and among) the residents within the neighbourhood to share ideas about possible and proposed events and projects they would like to comment on;
  • a forum for questions about issues relating to the neighbourhood or the community at large.

This is our blog and your blog. Please provide your feedback and comments.

  1. I live here in Birch Glen and was wondering as are probably a few of us, what is going on with the townhouse development on the lakeshore? There is the building shell on the road and nothing behind and to the side but earthworks. Have the developers run into financial issue?

    Cheers, Howard

  2. The same question has been on several minds over the past few months. However, the developer has had to deal with some external issues raised at the eleventh hour by the Credit Valley Conservation Authority relating to the diversion of an underground creek and the proximity of the building site to some "ecologically sensitive" areas of Birchwood Park. He is required to deal with these issues before proceeding with the project.

  3. I can see not a lot of people are using the blog. Just to let you know, to anyone who may be wondering. the creek east of Kos Blvd is full of debris from fallen trees, from last years wind storm. The creek is blocked in two areas, I have called the city today and they will be sending a crew out to take a look and clear the creek of the debris.
    As far as the townhouse developement goes, I understand Moldenhauer has sold this to another developer. Not sure what the status is. It is ugly, insn't it?
